Promotion of Animal Welfare Seminar 2017

Wed, 30 Nov 2016

The area of animal health and welfare continues to grow ever more complex and demanding as local authorities are dealing with animals from across the world as well as dealing with more localised issues such as dangerous dogs and the over population of horses.

This one day conference, sponsored by Natural Instinct, is designed to appeal to all professionals who have a responsibility or interest for animal health and welfare and a desire to broaden their understanding of animal welfare and learn and share good practice knowledge from other local authorities and industry experts. It will examine existing legislation and bylaws as well as address the new legislation for dealing with nuisance / dangerous dogs and horses. The conference will also cover pet shop licensing and inspections, including an overview of the new model license conditions for pet vending as well as the new legislation for the Control of Horses.
